This story is about innocent lifes in the concentration camp. The author, Viktor E. Frankl, calmly delineates his own experience.
On the first chapter, his painful time in perdition delivers what is raw human nature and rules of power. I started to read this book wishing I could find my meaning of life. However, story of concentration camp gave me sight of general power rule of human society. The short sentence "the best of us did not return" hits my heart so hard. It implicates much meanings at the same time for me. Good ones probably couldnt come back because of their sacrifice. Or good ones perhaps denied to accept absurdity. This makes me think how I should live and my attitude of life.
Second chapter carries meaning of life. Frankl saw three possible source for meankng. 1. In work. 2. In experience and love 3. In courage. Coincidently, I find myself boost up in the category. In work, as a proactive engineer, I like to work and make progress. Frankl meant lover as a wife, but my dogs and family also give me energy to live up. Also I am a person who like to roam or find something to do newly. The last one is something I need to learn. Accepting current probation is hard for me. I am too weak to face hardship so it gave me traumas few times. Now I see this is part of life and what I must sublime into dignify.
